The Good Life

This Section of my website is for highlighting activities, wine gatherings, and many of my personal wine adventures that I engage in.  Additionally, I will periodically update my wine collection listing here,in the form of an Excel Spreadsheet thumbnail that consists of data and pertinent information associated with every wine I’ve ever purchased or consumed since I started actually tracking the wines.  If memory serves me correctly that would be around the 2013 time frame.  Prior to that time, while I was diligently engaged in the wine life, I didn’t actually start cataloging and documenting my wine inventory.  At this point, my ever-evolving wine list (for the past 6 years or so) can be accessed by clicking here.

I periodically host wine tasting parties at my home for friends and family.  These parties typically focus on a pre-planned tasting of selected wines, coupled with a delicious spread of optimized food pairings and gourmet hors d’oeuvres.  The wine tasting lists over the past many years have been included here.  Simply click on the thumbnail to enlarge the individual tasting list.

My wife and I started out the 2020 New Year with some wine escapades and a spontaneous road trip to two separate Washington State destinations.  Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, and the Leavenworth-Wenatchee, area....

This past weekend (Dec. 6-8) we celebrated the 2019 Walla Walla Holiday Barrel Tasting event!  This time, Aaron’s Wine Chronicles was joined by two of our favorite friends, Andrea Starr and John-Paul LeCompte.  ...

On this 1st Saturday in November, I had to celebrate Fall’s arrival on Red Mountain.   It was a crisp day with clear blue skies.  The vineyards are changing color in a dramatic fashion.  Enjoying some wine and a charcuterie plate at the top of Red Mountain was a perfect way to start my weekend. ...

Thursday was one of those days where neither I, nor my wife, knew what to do with ourselves.  So after a few hours at the office, I came home and we decided to embark on back-to-back wine tasting escapades – since we spent the previous day doing the same thing!  I guess you can’t argue with success right?  If it worked yesterday and it isn’t broken…why fix it?...

As I’m making my way home from Minneapolis, Minnesota on a Wednesday morning (from a business trip), my wife asks if I’d be up for some wine tasting when I arrived home.  What was I to do?  My answer was, “If I must honey….if I must!”  So we went straight from the airport to the wineries!...

As July turned into August, on this first Friday of the last month of summer, my wife decided she wanted to accompany me on a wine adventure.  So of course I obliged her!...

On a gorgeous Sunday around noon (July 21st), I decided to head out to Prosser and partake of some great Washington State wine.  My first stop was WIT Cellars.  It’s one of my favorite small-production wineries in the State. ...

On Friday July 12th, my visiting sister-in-law Adela (from Southern California) was literally begging me to do some wine tasting!   Who was I to turn her away?  Never could I do such a thing!...

On Sunday over the 4th of July weekend I decided to experience some new Walla Walla wineries.  My first destination was to head to the Airport District on the Northeast side of Walla Walla where I visited Adamant Cellars.  My timing was impeccable. ...
