Today (Tuesday, March 12th) my wife wanted to go for a drive, so she grabbed her camera and we hit the road. Along the way we decided to take a detour into the Prosser Wine Village and we stopped at Airfield Estates for a tasting. We really enjoyed two wines in particular. Gabby loved the 2017 Moscato and I immediately gravitated toward the 2016 Late Harvest Riesling. Why you ask? Perfect question. Once it hit my palate it exploded with sweet succulent fruit with a lot of body and 22% residual sugars! Since I’m a scientist, my first thought was actually an equation. Let me help you understand my state of mind by writing this complicated mathematical expression down for you to absorb:
(Sugar)2 + Succulence(Apricot x Pineapple) + Cigar = Ecstasy3
So we ended up with 6 bottles of the Moscato and 2 bottles of the Late Harvest Riesling which I believe will pair exquisitely with a nice cigar. Quite a productive day I should say!
