After weeks of dreary, cloudy and overcast skies with snow and mud, I decided to go out and enjoy this beautiful sunny Friday (March 8, 2019) and hit some tasting rooms on Red Mountain, in Benton City, WA. First stop was Col Solare. Thanks to April Reddout, I was able to taste the new 2016 Red Wine Blend which is 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Cabernet Franc and 7% Carménère. It was incredible! And I can only imagine what this Darel Allwine creation will taste like in 5, 7 or even 10 years! I’m going to stock up on this baby! One bottle purchased….and more to come.
