May 17th on Red Mountain

This Friday (May 17th) was a rather gloomy, windy and slightly rainy day that kept me from mowing my lawn, so I ended up forcing myself to go wine tasting on Red Mountain.  It was a tough decision, but one I had to make as a man who loves wine.  My first stop was Col Solare and I had a great chat with Mitzi and Lisa and Jenn.  My second stop was Fidélitas Winery where I met with my old friend Bryce Appleby and enjoyed a glass of the 2016 Quintessence Cabernet Sauvignon.  3rd stop was Frichette Winery where I was able to discuss coordinating an interview with Greg Frichette (winemaker) that will be published on Aaronswinechronicles.com soon.  I also had a glass of the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon and bought a bottle of the 2018 Sashay Rosé.  4th stop was Cooper Winery where I really enjoyed most everything I tasted and ended up buying a bottle of the 2016 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon.  Finally, the day ended at Double Canyon winery in West Richland where I walked away with a bottle of the 2015 Double Canyon Cabernet Sauvignon.  It was a really nice day, and a perfect tune-up for the Rising Stars event at the Walter Clore Wine Center in Prosser tomorrow!  Cheers to all and have a great weekend!!
