Final Sunday Tasting – Tero Estates Winery

Our final stop (wine destination #5) took us into the downtown Walla Walla wine district.  Just as we were starting to work up an appetite for some grub, we found Tero Estates Winery.  This small tasting room is located on the corner of 2nd Avenue and Rose Street, just a stone’s throw from the historic Marc Hotel and Restaurant.  By this time, my wife and I had essentially saturated our palates for being “discriminating” wine buyers, but we still were motivated to taste the wines from Flying Trout and Tero Estates.  While this tasting room also sells two other wine labels (Waters and 21 Grams), we were having a nice discussion with Rikki about Tero Estate wines.  Rikki was very accommodating as we paired chocolates with the two Flying Trout Malbecs, the 2014 Cabernet Franc-Merlot blend, and the two Cabernet Sauvignons.  The tasting was very enjoyable and we wish Rikki the best as her daughter-to-be (Annabelle) prepares to join her mom!  Congratulations!
