On Saturday July 6^th, my wife and I found out that one of our favorite wine makers (Victor Palencia) is having an “opening” of his new Bodega tasting room in West Richland.  It’s just across the street from Double Canyon and the setting is classy, beautiful and a perfect venue for Victor’s vision of focusing on Spanish varietal wines.  As we drive up around 11:45 am, we notice Allison Hann’s car but no others.  This means – YOU GUESSED IT – Aaron’s Wine Chronicles are the first guests to visit the new Palencia Bodega!  While Victor was conducting some business in Walla Walla for the day, Allison took great care of us and provided us with a fantastic tasting.  We ended up buying a bottle of the 2013 El Viñador Cabernet Sauvignon, of which I had a glass, while my wife Gabby enjoyed a glass of the Sauvignon Blanc.  The ambiance was really nice and we can tell this new place will serve Palencia and Monarcha Club members quite nicely moving forward!  Congratulations Victor and Team Palencia on the new crib!!
